Dry Ice of Texas - Dry Ice Cleaning

APPLICATIONS

Possible Uses | AdvantagesDisadvantages

What is dry ice? Dry ice is a solid form of CO2, sublimates from solid to gas, and is hard as lime.

CO2 Blast Cleaning Applications

Cleaning Printing Presses

Dry Ice of Texas understands the importance of a clean and properly functioning printing press.  We have been able to identify vulnerabilities and key necessities in the CO2 blast cleaning of printing machinery.  Printing machinery is very complex, compared to most industrial machines, which means there are many parts that can be compromised through haphazard and negligent blasting.  Therefore, a properly trained crew member of Dry Ice of Texas will make a difference in the overall integrity of printing production.  Because of the precision of printing, it is important to keep parts and components continually free of debris for efficiency.  A periodic CO2 blast cleaning would benefit by cutting your maintenance costs.  There have been cases where a facility was charged outlandish fees that could have been prevented in CO2 blasting maintenance.  Owners must establish periodic cleaning and maintenance schedules of all of their printing machines.

Adhesives

Adhesives are easily removed in comparison to alternative methods as the lowered temperature serves to weaken the adhesive attachment.  Abrasive methods often generate heat and can therefore fail with some adhesive removal.

Tool Die’s Used in Manufacturing

CO2 blast cleaning is the best method for cleaning dies.  Dry ice is soft and will maintain the critical tolerances of the dies better than any other cleaning method.

Food and Hospital Use

CO2 cleaning of the surface of products and instruments is non-toxic and will stop the growth of mold, mildew and other fungi as well as eliminating the odors of the bacterial host environment.  This is not a masking agent.  CO2 cleaning is 100% ecologically safe, USDA rated, biodegradable and is harmless to humans, animals and marine life.

Fire Remediation

CO2 cleaning is effective in removing toxic residues, soot and associated odors of a fire.  Dry Ice of Texas can work with insurance companies to quickly clean fire and smoke damaged areas.
